I am from a very large family of nine siblings, seven of which are girls. I started making doll clothes when I was a very young girl, 4 years old to be exact ( 1963!). I would spend hours looking through my mother's scraps of fabric looking for that perfect piece to make my favorite doll a new dress. My sisters and I would sit around with our dolls and sew doll clothes by hand and even compete to see who could make the prettiest dress!

I spent 15 years as an LPN followed by 11 years as a Real Estate Agent/ Broker Manager all while raising two sons and maintaining a home sewing and alteration business. I never lost the passion I had for creating doll clothes. Over the years I have also enjoyed designing and making jointed mohair teddy bears. Now that I am retired my fun time is spent in the sewing studio sorting through fabric and sketching up new designs. My true enjoyment and passion is in making realistic outfits for the historical American Girl dolls.

In recent years I have been blessed with three grandsons and someday I hope to have a granddaughter as well to share this love of creating doll clothes with. For now, I am delighted to see others enjoy my creations though Esty, eBay and Flickr.com.
